Titan Earth Slope™ - Honeycomb System

Industry
Civil Infrastructure
Challenge:
This project consisted of the replacement of culverts in two locations along Concession Road 10 in the township of Clearview, Ontario. The project covered a 0.6 mile (1km) stretch, requiring the complete removal and reconstruction of the roadway while being restricted by the site’s complex slope geometry and adjacent properties ROW.
Achievement:
The solution provided an economical, eco-friendly, sustainable vegetated slope, which not only pleased the customer but also showcased Titan’s expertise as a global geosynthetic expert. The ideal outcome was achieved while maintaining the required 75-year design life.

Titan Solution
Titan's Engineering Team, which specializes in Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) and Retained Soil Systems (RSS), worked closely with the contractor Seeley and Arnill Construction and the consulting engineer, RJ Burnside & Associates to help design over 10,764ft² (1000m²) of the 60° Titan Earth Slope™– Honeycomb System.
Titan Earth Slope® MSE Systems
Titan Earth Slope® MSE systems are flexible and durable, providing a cost-effective solution for constructing slopes with a batter up to 70 degrees. Titan Earth Slope® MSE systems are custom-designed to suit site geometry, project aesthetic needs, natural habitat limitations, and design-life requirements.
