## Challenge

The client initially considered using concrete articulated mats or gabion systems with an impermeable backing to line eight outfalls on a steep roadside slope in Saskatoon, SK. However, these options posed significant installation challenges due to the slope’s steepness, leading to increased time and costs.

## The Titan Solution

In July 2016, 50 sq. m of 8mm Concrete Canvas (CC8) was installed across eight outfalls, each approximately 1m wide and 6m long. The CC was laid over a newly constructed Geo-Cell stabilized slope, with channels cut and filled with compacted sand to prevent voids. Plywood was used to smooth transitions, and CC was anchored every meter using earth percussion anchors. Hydration was completed using a 275-gallon tote and pump, with installation temperatures averaging 22°C.
