Product Used:

HDPE Geomembrane Liner, Woven Geotextile

Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba

Project Type: Product Supply & Installation

Product Used: Fire retardant HDPE & TE-W200 woven geotextile

Challenge

Manitoba Hydro required a multi-layer system for a transistor containment cell for one of their largest power stations.

The Titan Solution

Titan supplied and installed a multi-layer system consisting of two layers of geotextile sandwiching a fire retardant HDPE geomembrane that lined the inside of the transistor containment cell. The materials were fastened to the perimeter concrete walls and interior foundations using neoprene gasket, galvanized wedge anchor bolts, and galvanized batten bar.

HDPE geomembrane is a high-strength, impermeable plastic liner made from high-density polyethylene, widely used in environmental and civil engineering projects to prevent fluid migration in applications like landfills, mining, and water containment systems due to its durability, chemical resistance, and UV stability.

Achievement

We were chosen for this project due to our installation experience and quick turnaround times allowing for this project to be completed quickly. Titan completed all quality control to the client's satisfaction.
