## Challenge

The project required slope protection for a compressor station in Vermillion, Alberta, where site access limitations made traditional solutions like plastic liners impractical. The team needed a material that could be installed quickly, easily, and would offer long-term durability.

## The Titan Solution

Titan Environmental Containment installed 875 m² of 8 mm bulk roll Concrete Canvas® (CC) Geosynthetic Cementitious Composite Mat (GCCM). Site preparation included clearing vegetation and filling voids. The CC rolls were laid transversely using a zoom boom with spreader bar, cut to length with a utility knife, sealed with Soudaseal, and secured with screws. Hydration was completed using a 5,000-gallon mobile water truck and fire hose.

## Achievement

The installation was completed in just 10 hours by a team of four, demonstrating a rapid installation rate 10 times faster than conventional concrete. This repeat order from Atco Pipelines met and exceeded expectations, showcasing CC’s ease of use, efficiency, and 120-year performance life.
