Product Used:  HDPE Liner, Non-woven Geotextile and Gecomposite

Challenge

A biochemical reactor polishing pond and adjacent ditch at a remote mine site in Northern B.C. needed lining for proper containment of liquid contaminants.

Titan Solution

Brule Mine - 8

Titan supplied and installed 16oz geocomposite as a drainage layer, followed by a layer of 32oz nonwoven geotextile cushion and a layer of 60mil DST White HDPE geomembrane specified in the engineered design.

Geomembranes, are synthetic, impermeable liners used with soil or rock to prevent fluid migration in engineered structures.

Achievement

We were chosen for this project due to our extensive lining system installation experience and our ability to quickly adapt and overcome any installation challenges. The entire install took a total of 5 days to complete. We worked with the client, project engineers, and our field/operations to solve general constructability issues and redesign a pipe penetration.
