Titan Solution

Swamp Grid - Rail (002)

Swamp Grid® 30 was an optimal way to stabilize the railway track bed poor soil conditions. The design consisted of three lifts. Each lift included one layer of Swamp Grid™ 30 along with gravel to help improve structural stability. Titan supplied a total 134,000m2 (678 rolls) of Swamp Grid®.

Titan was responsible for building the entire dome which included assembling and utilizing an impressive 91 meter (300 ft) centrally located tower to facilitate lifting and construction in sections.

Swamp Grid® is an advanced composite geogrid product consisting of our Titan Earth Grid® heat-bonded to a long-fiber PET nonwoven geotextile.

Achievement

Using Swamp Grid® 30 saved the client money on materials, construction time and resources. Due to Titan's extensive inventory and ability to get the material shipped to site in a quick and timely manner the client was able to complete the project ahead of schedule. Early completion was an added bonus as it allowed for settlement before building the track.
