Challenge:

Titan was tasked with installing a geomembrane liner system in two ethanol tank containment units under strict safety protocols and a tight project timeline.

Achievement:

Despite the complex requirements, Titan delivered a high-quality, cost-effective installation on time and on budget, ensuring full environmental protection and compliance.

Product Used:

HDPE Geomembrane Liner, Nonwoven Geotextile

Location: Gimli, Manitoba

Project Type: Product Supply & Installation

Product Used: 60mil HDPE Smooth & TE-12 Nonwoven Geotextile

Challenge

A geomembrane liner was required for two concrete secondary containment units around two ethanol tanks to provide proper environmental protection against potential leaks.

The Titan SolutionIMG_2767

Titan installed 60mil smooth HDPE geomembrane inserted between 2 layers of TE-12 nonwoven geotextile which lined the secondary containment units. The geotextiles served as a protective layer, so the geomembrane remained undamaged from the environment. Both the geomembrane and the geotextile were secured to the concrete walls and tank foundations by using stainless-steel batten bar system.

HDPE geomembrane is a high-strength, impermeable plastic liner made from high-density polyethylene, widely used in environmental and civil engineering projects to prevent fluid migration in applications like landfills, mining, and water containment systems due to its durability, chemical resistance, and UV stability.

Achievement

Very strict safety guidelines were implemented on this project, as dangerous chemicals are handled at this site. Even with these strict safety requirements, Titan was able to provide a quick and economical solution. The installation was unique yet performed on a very tight schedule. Our crew used their experience and expertise to complete the job on time and on budget with uncompromising quality.
