Challenge
A new compost processing facility at a landfill in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, needed its entire footprint lined for environmental reasons, primarily to prevent contaminants from seeping into the soil.
Titan Solution
Geosynthetic Clay Liner (GCL) was selected as the ideal solution for this project because of its unique bentonite self-sealing attributes and ability to reduce the risk of punctures and leakages.
Geosynthetic Clay Liners (GCLs) are advanced geocomposites made from geotextile layers enclosing sodium bentonite, offering a modern alternative to traditional compacted clay liners.
Achievement
Titan supplied and installed 287,900 SF (26,746 m²) of GCL. Despite the cold and short daylight hours, our crew of seven technicians rose to the challenge to complete another winter project!
