Concrete Remediation (Erosion Protection)

Soil erosion around a tank farm in North West Alberta was threatening the integrity of a concrete pad, requiring a durable solution that could be installed in a confined space without disrupting existing infrastructure.

The Titan Solution

Local contractors installed 91m² of Concrete Canvas® CC5™, using batched rolls to navigate tight working conditions and lay the material under existing piping and equipment, securing it to the concrete pad without heavy machinery.

Concrete Canvas® (CC) is a Geosynthetic Cementitious Composite Mat (GCCM), a factory-produced material combining cement within geosynthetic layers that hardens when hydrated for erosion control and weed suppression.

Achievement

The installation was completed efficiently despite spatial constraints, providing hard armor erosion protection and stabilizing the site with minimal disruption.
